What years would you say were Whitney Houston's prime?
If you haven't caught on by now I'm whole Whitney Elizabeth "Nippy" "The Voice" Houston stan so Im biased. I particularly loved the Bodyguard/Waiting to exhale/Preachers wife era of Whitney when her voice got a little darker, edgy and gritty. But alot of people say her prime was when her voice was more girlish like greatest love of all, one moment in time, all at once etc.

I'm not a fan of Whitney Houston. Her music never moved me. She does have the greatest singing voice of all time imo.

That girlish era is :hhh:just too pop.

However I like the Bodyguard Waiting to Exhale era when her voice was a little more darker and gritty. Especially her work on Waiting to Exhale. Just seems like her best work was with Babyface

I think R&B, Adult Contemporary and Gospel is where she flourished. I appreciate her pop songs because she put pressure on alot of her peers to actually sing instead of relying on production. She put sangers back in the driver seat.

I loved all versions of her, her voice was so amazing. Love preachers wife era probably the most though.

I didn't like her music outside of when she remixed hip hop and R&B and Emancipation of Mimi.

Her voice is amazing as well but I'm just not a fan of pop. I love that R&B heavy funky bass lines. Good rhythm sections with guitar instruments.
