All this coming from alcoholics, a legal substance but far more damaging internally and have users more prone to aggressive and destructive behavior due it's inhibiting factors, aka liquid courage.

Obviously but that's another issue. Weed and alcohol aren't legally sold to anyone under 21 for a reason. Their parents or those around need to handle that. No one should be giving them weed and the store clerk didn't sell them the Backwoods.

I'm talking about people on here who act like marijuana is a danger to everyone or it makes you lazy and shiftless.

Excessive weed absolutely will ruin you. Humans are meant to have to be physically active or stimulating our minds through socializing, problem solving or creative sessions to achieve dopamine release. THC activates Dopamine release without having to do all that. Meaning it becomes highly likely youll just hit the weed instead of anything more productive. This problem is exacerbated with young people who already dont have the patience or intellectual depth to entertain themselves.

IMO weed is more existentially dangerous than liquor or sex dependence since you can virtually do it anywhere, by yourself, and the stigma of being zooted is all but gone. Hell id argue its romanticized and seen as mostly comedic nowadays.

Compare to say liquor, thats a huge con of weed. Since liquor is a depressant, most alkys have to be home or in social environments to hit the bottle. They still have to go to work and it usually takes a severe drinking problem to start interfering with day to day life. Same with compared to sex addiction as you still need to keep up some level of appearances in order to seduce and court women (which as an anecdote, is why sex addiction in Hetero women can get really bad as women dont have to keep up appearances to get laid).

Meanwhile i know a shytton of people who literally cannot go a hour without smoking weed and they will take breaks from work/school to hit the pen or blunt and everyone just and assumes its NBD because weed doesnt leave you slumped or incite stupor like liquor, but who is to say what neurological and genetic damage is being done long term.

Of course and I tell people this all the time. If you decide to get in the business it's better to partner with people. Cannibus companies are now buying smaller companies and taking a larger market share. When it is legalized on a federal level, the smaller folks are going to have trouble competing. No different than when Walmart rolled over the smaller competition decades ago.

I doubt that. I consumed more reefer in a span of 6 months than potheads and all it made me do was stay up late and create art work.

I got 4 art shows in 2023 and plan on smoking so much weed I can burp mushroom clouds.

If they cant function on weed thats them. But think EVERYONE cant.

I don't know how anyone can deny or disagree with the negative impact weed has on the black community, and I've been a smoker for years. Cannabis products these days are created to be as potent as possible, and the THC levels are off the charts compared to years past. Combine that with a culture that says that you should smoke all day every day, get as high as possible, and smoke the strongest shyt you can find, and we're probably going to be seeing increases in things like people being admitted to hospitals with symptoms of acute psychosis from THC overdoses as they start smoking these powerful ass strains younger and younger. On top of that, all these legal cannabis companies popping up are obviously marketing to children as well with very little regulation, selling 8ths in corny ass gimmicky designer bags, strains named after candy and desserts and whatnot.

You've gotta ask yourself why, after decades of prohibition rooted in racism from the War on Drugs, is legal cannabis now suddenly getting such a strong push in society. The powers that be want to keep people, especially black people, high, stupid, and distracted, and have figured out found out how to profit off of our ignorance and self-destructive behaviors, bottom line.

There's about 140,000 alcohol related deaths a year. Alcoholics kill themselves and other people. Weed isn't killing anybody.
