I think so, if not top 2 it’s the greatest. Debuted at #1 and sold over 160,000 copies first week. Too many classic records from Swishas & Dosha, Gravy, Game Belong To Me, Players Anthem, Like Dat Remix, Quit Hatin The South, Cocaine, How Long Can It Last, etc.

From the production & singing wit Pimp on the hook :ohlawd:

Even the features, down to the subject matter it was one of the most influential & ageless rap albums that has been released in 20 years.

Also it’s to be noted Pimp passed not to long after the album dropped, so bout time Christmas hit the album became very eerie & sad to listen too definitely alot of nostalgia with this shyt. Long live the pimp

No. Absolutely not.

UGK's Underground Kingz is not a top 3 of all time Double Album. Not even close.

It's #1 :lolbron: IMO.

But you can make arguments for Wu-Tang Forever or even Speakerboxx/The Love Below

Never heard it, but LAD and WTF got top 2 locked up, b. UGK is good, but it probably would round out my top 5 ater those two, The Ricanstruction, and Streets Disciple

I would say it’s top 5 just cause I remember a lot of the others that came out and in real time people weren’t receptive to them as people are revising history for in this thread :mjlol:

The first disc is probably a 9/10 minimum. The second disc is an 8 cause Swizz Beatz, Lil Jon and Jazze Pha come through with some beats that sounded like they should not have been on the album at all.

UGK is up there with 'Kast for me and being from Texas during that time they first popped they always got a spot in my heart. I own in some form or fashion everything they ever recorded all the way back to the Pregnant Puzzy days.....I was there at the "Record Store" during my lunch break when this album dropped and they delivered big time. I was proud af when I saw them have the Number one album in the country it was a :salute: :salute: :salute: :salute: :salute: type thing. And a fukking Grammy nomination. Was streaming a Houston radio station( I live in Cali) in real time when the news broke about Pimp C's death. They announced it right after Scarface's new shyt "Girl You Know" had just played. I worked at the main R&D building on the Qualcomm campus, and literally left work, the shyt fukked me up. He was the perfect "seasoning salt" for any song he ever popped up on. Even outshines Jay on Big Pimpin.

UGK never released a bad record, just like outkast/eric b & rakim/EPMD

i dont think its really fair to pick their greatest album. everyone seems to have their favorite, and thats cool.
