Incredible debut album.

Their last 2 LPs had a lot of great stuff on there also.

Albums in between aren’t as memorable IMO.

But a very solid group with an arguable classic LP under their belt.

It’s not arguably a classic, it’s a classic period!

The flows, the deliveries, the lyrics, the beats and the themes they touch upon is why I have the album in such high regard. And these were literal teenagers that put this album together. Now look at teenagers today, can’t even make or listen to a song longer than 2 minutes before they self destruct. How the fukk are the kids from the Information Age dumb as shyt?

Do you know how many classic songs I ain’t have no clue wtf this nig was talking about for real? Lol, he just randomly rhyming words to me. That don’t mean it’s all beat…what about flow/delivery/riding the beat/imagery/etc… this guy just wanted to get some engagement, lol, cornball. I’d hate to hear his take on Ghostface,






And not for nothing, but the worst take in hip hop is “We just rap about what we see and experience in the hood”…like wayyy more times than not the hood ain’t just kids playing and nigs playin Madden and laughing and going to school/work and shhit, .

Nah the Bay gave us too much heat. Man I swear hiphop made me want to go to Oakland back then even though it was never gonna happen lol. There are songs that are bigger hits than 93 til Infinity where you could ask wtf are they talking about. That song is one of the songs you play when you want expose a person to how dope hiphop is.

I can respect that. The Bay shyt just isn't for me.

The quote by itself isn't bad but it's such a nonstatement, his argument was basically "if you're shining in your city, the locals are gonna be hypnotized by hatred" but this can happen if you move out as well, it can happen anywhere really.

Most people die in their own city, because it’s likely where you spend the most time.

Those cats were basically teenagers when they made that song,what the fukk where they going to talk about? The fact that it resonated with so much people was the fact that they were that good at that age already. This trend of doing revisionist takes on music that already is solidified shows that historical context is like advanced quantum physics to a lot of these idiots. You can't speak to the intricacies of an era you've never actually experienced but yes, you can assume and speculate on that hill till you die.
