For my money it’s probably Old Yeller because the whole movie is basically about endearing you to the dog and then ripping him away at the end.

To this day, shyt hurts my heart just even thinking about it. fukking hate that damn Sharptooth to this very day man. As a matter of fact, I had the original VHS cover of TLBT:
Bruh, I despised that Sharptooth so fukking much that one day I took this same exact cover poster out from the plastic sleeve of the VHS case, got a pair of scissors and cut out the Sharptooth from the cover poster.
I’ve always been super close to my mother since I was very young, and for that shyt to happen to Littlefoot’s moms was damn near traumatizing. Like fukk that Sharptooth for life breh, FOR LIFE
What makes it even more wild is the fact that several scenes when the Sharptooth first appeared and fought Littlefoot’s mother were quickly edited out before theatrical release because it was originally supposed to be a lot more violent and bloody than what we ended up being left with but Spielberg thought it would be too traumatizing for children and prolly would’ve changed the rating of the movie as well. I actually do wanna see those scenes that got cut but unfortunately it’s been stated by many people that Spielberg had most of them destroyed. There’s rumors that a few ppl are in possession of a few of the deleted scenes and one of the deleted scenes (prior to Littlefoot’s mother showing up) have made its way on to YouTube.
