Is this the end for this iteration of the Clippers?

Their decade-long embarrassment has really slipped under the radar (relatively speaking), hasn't it.

I guess it's expected they'll never do shyt so it's paid no mind when they don't.

Anyone that thought that CP/Griffin Clippers were contenders were smoking garbage reefer :dahell:

Facts. Extremely top heavy team. Doc was the coach and GM at the time and pretty much put nothing around Blake, CP3, and DJ. Outside of Matt Barnes no wing players for years on those teams

I mean no one gives a shyt about the clippers since it’s a lakers town. People swore it was now a clippers town but look at the attn our trash team getting vs this preseason favorite

This is bullshyt

Roster construction had nothing to do with the final minute of game 4 in OKC (2014)
Roster construction had nothing to do with the final quarter of Game 6 vs HOU (2015)

Those were their two biggest chances

Their big stars choked...that's all there is to it

Fouled a lot, couldn't guard wings, regularly out-hustled on offensive boards outside of Jordan, injuries, bench couldn't guard scarecrows.

No doubt CP3 and Blake gracefully and non-gracefully bowed out a ton in the postseason. I still feel the 3-1 choke to Houston to this very day :why: I thought for sure CP3 was going to curate and game manage us to a win when we were up 19 going into the 4th. Still had the mighty Warriors at their peak waiting in the next round tho. Still doesn't negate the fact that we never could acquire a single decent wing player in all those years.

Run the offense thru Zubac. It’s the only way.
:wow:

I’m trolling.

But yeah. One of the negatives of living in the Lakers’ shadow is that nobody cares when you win. But also, one of the perks of living in the Lakers’ shadow is that nobody cares when you stink, either.

Didn't read the thread but it all depends on Kawhi. A PG-led team is ok probably top out at 6th seed if everything breaks our way. Otherwise it's not looking good. fukk Joe Ingles

I don't know about that one. I like PG and you have to remember, OKC PG13 was a mvp candidate. George may not have the defensive stature of Kahwi but I think you can win with George.

It's hard for me to see a team winning the title with a top 12-20 player as the main guy. I say this as someone that thinks PG is super underrated.

All I know is that going to the Clippers never made basketball sense. Personal wise sure he wanted to be there but basketball and career? Kawhi could have played 40 games a year in Toronto, let Siakum and the other guys secure a top 5 seed and then focused on being healthy for a playoff run. While getting paid out the ass and worshipped by those fans.

He’s never gonna be healthy enough to make it work in LA/the west.

Kawhi doesn’t give a shyt. He has his rings and his legacy is set. He knows the clippers are a shyt low expectation franchise with a money mark billionaire owner who his team can run over. He would be getting that AD heat if he was on the lakers. But the important thing to him is he is in LA on a long term deal completely under the radar
