“Trade value diminished” has to mean that there is no trade value

At this point, you have got to be thinking about moving salaries.

Waiters and James Johnson have got to go. I don’t know why he gave them 4 year deals. You could move them both for Melo. Thats 27 mill off the books next year.

TJ is damn near impossible to move but at least he, dragic, and whiteside will be free agents in 2020

Any word on if Matt Williams is going to play for our summer league team? I found it odd that between him, Walton, and Derrick Jones Jr. they decided to give the two-way contracts to the two guys with no discernable NBA skills while letting the shooter walk. Maybe they'll surprise me in the summer and show some growth in their game but I feel right now Williams is the one that got away, cheap replacement for Ellington.

Can we stop pulling trades out of thin air getting folks hopes up for nothing? We're starting to sound like Lakers and Knicks fans :laff:

Whenever I see a situation I ask myself "Why would OKC make that move?"

OKC situation:
Championship contender in a bad position trying to compete with a super team (GSW) and another great team (Houston).

They are doing this with a super star in his prime that needs another star scorer . That star right now is Carmelo. They need an SG and would prefer to have a PF to put Melo back at SF to see if he still has that star in him at his legitimate position.

On our end we have:
Waiters is an average SG at best closing in on 30 and returning from an injury and has a 4 year deal. James Johnson isn't a value to a team like OKC who's needs either a #2 star or a cheap role player.

I'm sorry been I just don't see how they go for it

Houston wants to dump Ryan Anderson, I doubt they want to pay Capela the max too. Spo loves tall white guys that can shoot threes too.......
