For some reason, Sydney Carter, Texas A&M’s player development coach and assistant recruiting director, has had social media in a frenzy because of an outfit she recently wore during a game.
The outfit in question that Coach Carter wore was pretty simple, but it was form-fitting, and the pants were pink latex or leather. Her whole body was covered (minus her ankles), and she looked good, but it had a Facebook user ask if the outfit was appropriate for a basketball coach
Twitter is defending former Texas A&M women’s basketball player and now player development coach Sydney Carter for her Game Day outfit, which is fire and not out of the norm for the coach. Carter wore an ivory turtleneck sweater and pink pleather pants with nude heels for the women’s
basketball game on Sunday, February 6.
On Monday, Carter posted several photos of her sideline ‘fit to her Twitter and Instagram – something she typically does after each game. Most of her game-day outfits are fashionable and stylish, based on previous posts.
However, the pink pants upset some close-minded folks on Twitter and Facebook. Justin Harris tweeted a screenshot he took of someone on Facebook asking his followers if Carter’s outfit was appropriate as a coach. Several people in the comments called it “unprofessional” and made remarks that she shouldn’t wear that if “she wants to be respected.”
“It’s unprofessional. Definitely the pants. Vinyl pants? Really? To work,” Somebodymama13 tweeted.
While the negative comments did appear, the positive feedback and praise overshadowed the trolls on Twitter. Texas A&M Women’s Basketball Twitter account also defended their coach, writing nothing is wrong with her look.
