falling in love is easy...its the "labor" of love thats the hardest. When you first meet someone there is that euphoric stage, the newness, the bliss etc but when things settle down and you are experiencing the bad and the good then you labor. You labor or work hard in maintaining the love or the foundation of love you have built.

tbh I don't never got when dudes bring the whole 'in love' vs 'love' stuff up. Surely it's all love just different faces of it. As @Poitier said you can be 'in' platonic love with someone same way you can be in romantic love with someone it's all forms of being in love.
now when a relationship goes from romantic to platonic people confuse this with falling out of love, but nah you're in love with the person, just not the type that you should be.

I think "in love" is both people love each other, instead of something one sided.
