You can have love for someone (maybe you're no longer in love with them) and then there's the state of actually being in love.
It's not love if you are not in love. You can "CARE" for someone and not be in love, however. The whole love is forever and in love is temporary is smart-dumb nikka rhetoric that never learned what an infinitive is in human language.
