If you take away the Tim Burton movies, Depp is about as versatile as they come, his best roles were those commercial flops and indie movies he did prior to Pirates, check out Libertine, Don Juan Demarco, Donnie Brasco, Blow.

Same with Jeff Bridges.

I agree with Steve Buschemi, but even so dude is versatile

Meryl Streep isn't overrated, she overacts at times but she is the Deniro of females.

I was going to come in there and said Edward Norton, but Gary Oldman is the GOAT to me also. Ving Rhames does have range and should get more credit for it. Also another guy that I haven't seen been mentioned is Kevin Spacey. He has plenty of range also.
