Is there a reason we can listen to FM radio on our phones but can't watch TV?

yes you can watch TV on your phone...Pluto, Tubi, Vudu etc BUT..

If you're trying to watch local TV channels like ABC, NBC, CBS etc you can only do so through the apps and connect with your cable or satellite provider (if you have one).

As far as FM radio goes every smartphone/iPhone has that...if yours is coming on the moment you plug in headphones then you must have something on a certain setting.


You can only watch local channels on a smartphone/iPhone through your cable or satellite provider otherwise you can't.

@ciroq drobama There you go. You gonna need this add-on TV tuner/antenna accessory so you pick-up your local TV station OTA.

There are phones that have this already this feature built-in but they never include the feature in the U.S. versions of the phones.

• If I wanna watch ESPN, I need the ESPN app.
• If I wanna watch ABC, I need the ABC app.
• If I wanna watch PBS, I need the PBS app, etc
• If I wanna go about by other means I'm catching some low res shyt thats glitching

Who wants or needs all those fukkin apps or wants to go thru hoops to watch something that's already being broadcast over the air? Sometimes shyt comes on you just wanna catch while you're on the go. Like I said I'm watching live track and field right now at the house with no problem but once I leave I gotta stream it and deal with all the bullshyt that brings

This shyt is simple and y'all are really letting go over your heads I'm not talking about streaming services.


If I plug in my headphone jack I can tune and listen to local radio stations. I'm not on Spotify, or iHeartRadio, etc. My has literally phone become an FM radio


Why can't we do this with local television? Those signals are being broadcasted 24/7 so how come, in 2019, we aren't able to receive them on your smartphones?

Why would anyone give you tv channels for free
