Is there a reason that Trump's impeachment is taking precedence over a Stimulus bill?

Because they recently passed the $900 billion dollar stimulus bill and aren’t worried about the next one until the money is closing to running out. People got hoodwinked into thinking that $1400 was coming ASAP when it was not going to be the case.

A lot of issues aren’t high on their priority list right even if they won’t admit it. Student loans is one of them.

Student loans should be in last place . nikkas need to stop beggin

You can only impeach a sitting president but democrats give 0 fuks about the constitution so they're going full steam ahead.
The argument about preventing him from running in 2024 makes no sense, why would he run again after Biden got 80mil votes (most vote sin history) when trump was running full steam in 2020? the steam is over, trump can't get 80+ mil votes in 2024 so why continue?

I dont know if you're serious or trolling :russ:

If you trolling its all good. But if you're seriously saying to get rid of the constitution, I don't have anything to say to that because I refuse to argue with stupid no offense :hubie:

Not get rid of it but that shyt needs to be updated. No even just the constitution but a lot of laws are just outdated. That's how and why 45 was able to exploit and expose shyt.

I was watching this chick on MSNBC this morning and she was talking about how we really don't have laws against domestic terrorism but we have laws against foreign shyt.

I'm not a warhawk. I'm not a fan of dictatorships. I'll just say it's not 1776 anymore and revisions need to be made.

The election wasn't close at all.

:skip:

I think Obama Romney was closer than Biden Trump
Electoral votes weren't close, but democrats lost states they were expecting to win and came down to the wire in key states they did win.

Go read the election thread while the election was happening.

Updates are constantly made to the constitution. They're called amendments :skip:

Amendments have been added since 1776:skip:

Again I'm not sure what you're arguing here... :skip: you're asking for things that have already been done.

Regarding domestic terrorism, terrorism is terrorism. And they already have that in the oath... "protect America from all enemies foreign and domestic"

They could make stronger laws around domestic terrorism but that wouldn't need a constitutional amendment. Congress would just need to create a federal law around it, which I fully expect to happen.

As far as Trump, the strength or weakness of the constitution isn't what allowed him to do what he did. The constitution has set laws against what he did. He just regularly broke those laws and that's why they're on his bumper right now.

This impeachment trial (no matter how it goes) is just the beginning.

I was in that thread and on election night lots of folks including myself were :sadcam:

But that's a bad argument as most of the votes didn't even come in on election night.

Democrats won every state they expected to win and even flipped Republican states like Georgia and Arizona.

What are you arguing? Maybe I'm not understanding you...:dwillhuh:

Do you realize the bill hasn't been written yet? It has to been written up by the house and then looked at by the senate. This process takes several weeks.

I agree the stimulus should take precedence but these two things aren't competing for their time.

The impeachment trial will be going on IN THE SENATE while the house works on the bill.

You dudes look for reasons to be upset that sometimes aren't even based on correct information.
