If you want reparations you should look at black trauma on screen as our advertising campaign. Man just look at how Roots shook this country. This country spent the last 160 years acting like the Civil War was some romantic Southern struggle, now we have a chance to reverse that narrative.

There’s escapism material, but ppl not interested in it because of the quality. For example, AllBLK on the Roku device. Has a lot of escapism material, but not the best quality. But on the flip side, the higher quality work obtains big budgets surrounding topics not necessarily interesting or lack of quality for the black community.
We will have to pick. Support our own film industry, pool our own finances, executive producer our own shyt and tell the stories we want, instead of relying on cacs to pass it.
