It depends it’s a mix of xenophobia and legitimate concern I remember this hood barbershop in Delaware had Black Americans barbers always complaining and joking that the Haitian immigrants was taking the apartment complex next to the shop over (this was like 2015). So I don’t know if the residents felt pushed out or what but at the same time the Haitian nikkas brought a lot of new business to the shop as well and kind of blended into the community well don’t really cause problems idk in other communities immigrants are really causing trouble like that but to bring a huge population of foreigners to a town struggling in resources can have it’s pros and cons.

Look at Chicago, NY, and LA and you will see why Black people are tired of them. Many of them, especially from below the border, are more racist than the White people who are already here. They come from nations that treat the Black populations there like crap, and expect to be able to do the same in the US. They are not allies to my people. Many of them even stated if they could have voted, they would have voted for Trump.

So no, it is not crabs in a bucket when the people you do not want around have made it clear they look down on you and hate you.

A few months ago, NPR reported on a migrant shelter functioning in Staten Island, N.Y. Anthony Pagano, the owner of a flower shop located close to the shelter, told NPR he was against it being located in his community.

"How do you put migrants across from an elementary school? An all-girl high school, and another public elementary school," he asked. "You don't know who they are. Criminals. You see all the crimes that are being committed by migrants."

The reality is I can see past my own perspective and I empathize with people who risk their lives to come here and live a better life. I could have been born there and facing the same problems. Also if they can spend tax dollars to kill foreign people and take foreign oil / resources and the like I don't mind them spending tax dollars to make human lives better. Dear God they spent some money and improved a human being's life shut everything down.
