That second verse was ambiguously talking about Puff or Suge...
Most of Suge's crew ended up dead or locked up
Most of Puff's ended up dead/locked up or mostly found religion.
Lake makes sense but could just be hypothetical.
Did didler ever reply to "i don't like the way P diddy did shyne with different lawyers" ?
This was recorded in 2000/2001. Most of these people were not dead or locked up.
Wonder if that was all talk or they had a face to face about it.Diddy called Nas drunk and angry and told him “Wherever you are in the world I need you to pull over and wait because i’m coming to see you”
Nas told that story himself
Did didler ever reply to "i don't like the way P diddy did shyne with different lawyers" ?
I personally NEVER liked Puffy. EVER! But even if I take out my own biases, who the hell does he think he is? Among the the biggest Hip Hop earners, he is one of the least talented. Again, taking out my biases, he is not above reproach. I applaud Nas for sharing how he felt about Puffy at the time of the writing Purple. I’m sure there were a few things that Puffy was doing that Nas didn’t like. Jerking his artists, wild sex parties that turned into videoing celebrities in freak offs without consent over the years, and the pattern of deaths that he could be alluding to in the second verse. How you gonna be that foul in hip hop and have the nerve to complain when someone write a rhyme about you? Lmao. Poetic justice. He is getting his due and rent is due for a lot of others who have done and got away with that foul shyt.
Yeah
From Nas he said Diddy called him up
He called Nas and WTF was that about nikka
Agree, or Super Ed.thought it might have been about lake
