It had it's time and was necessary. They lost me a bit with the spaceships and scientology and what not, but they still do a lot of good. I've seen first hand the positive they do in the community. I will just say we can't count on them to collectively advance anything or work as a legitimate opposition party. Which is fine for what they are now. They won't stand in anyone's way or hold the community back.

Yes actually. They're one of the few organizations that were able to consistently keep former criminals from returning to prison and get drug addicts off of hard drugs

Not that I've seen. They do have this good food spot in Glen Arden (I think).

But it's sexist just like any other religious organization so it impossible for them to do massive amounts of good. Any organization that's foundation is oppressed will never be for the greater good of humanity.

Yes they have done some good, mostly in the past however they still do have some solid brothas/sista’s doing community work at the local level.

But IMO overall they’ve been more disappointing than not, and I say this as someone who at one point in my life was ready to jump all the way in.

I really haven’t seen them out in the public like i used to over 20 years ago

Pretty sure since we in a new generation and the younger generations are more likely to be in with the mix race crowd, they really have no appeal anymore
