They have to hand The Matrix off to new storytellers. I got an idea I'd love to cookup for a single installment.

The only thing holding back The Matrix is a lack of imagination, which is crazy to me in a framework where it's limitless.

The only Matrix film worth seeing is the first one. Everything after that (besides The Animatrix and the chase scene in The Matrix Reloaded) is a boring convoluted mess. Not to mention the bad CGI.

The first hour or so showed some promise, and then it devolved into absolute garbage. Horrible CGI, horrible cinematography. Lazy fight choreography. Just awful man. It was all meta in the beginning and kinda interesting and then it devolved into a stereotypical story that it seemed to be making fun of in the beginning, the movie itself literally says that the studio was going to make this movie with or without the Wachowski's so they decided to "fukk it up" if the studio was going to anyway. It's honestly fukking MIND BLOWING warnerbros greenlit this.

Its up there but when you think about it there have been many horrible sequels the past 10 years. The Predator and Terminator sequels for example.

Low-key one of the worst sequels ever is Peninsula, which is the "unofficial" sequel to Last train to Busan. TRASH!

It actually had some interesting concepts like the machines fighting each other, some machines choosing to ally with humans, the machines not being able to account for Neo and Trinity being soulmates so one just says fukk it and uses it for power because he’s just a capitalist tech bro.
