Jay reached the top coming literally from the bottom. Jay Z holds up a mirror to pretty much everyone in this country no matter where they came from, and lets you know you haven’t done enough with your life. That is just gonna bring extreme resentment and hate in general.All rappers got fans, stans, and haters. Jay always had all 3.
However it seems like its getting worse. It seems like over the past few years there is more strong bubling hate for him. I don't know if it's the anti capitalism thing (on some eat the rich shyt), the NFL thing, the Nets thing (and the gentrification that came), or it bothers people that a dude from Marcy touched 2 Bs (according to Forbes).
i kind of think within 2 years we'll see the powers that be try to get at him (I'm selling weed out in the open, bringing folks home from the feds, I know this payback gone be mean, I'm saving all my little bread).
Do yall think it's real? Or just shyts and giggles coli threads (which im all for...scaring the hoes music is funny) and 800 people on Twitter screaming in the void?
You said he was a great. Your words. Nobody in here said you had to put him there. He's not undisputed, if he were, there wouldn't be any debates.
Nobody looks at a great and analyzes the missteps. Jordan isn't remembered for the games he lost. Same with Tom Brady. We don't look at how many championships LeBron has lost. People don't bring up the Michael Jackson albums between the Jackson 5 material and Off The Wall.
In real life people still rock with Jay. Most of the hate is online. But people in general are also starting to see through a lot of the bs with Jay.
I think we are past the point of people feeling like celebrities can do no wrong. Celebs aren’t untouchable like the past especially with social media. Flaws are well known now.
