Is the fullback position officially back?

Only a handful of teams use fullbacks regularly, but I wanna see the return of the all purpose fullback but I just dont see it anytime soon. Mainly because most colleges only have one fullback or none at all and just use a tight end as a lead blocker.

I don't think you'll see another Alstott again anytime soon, too many good slot players and combo RBs with great speed to be featuring a pass-catching FB. But just glad to see they gettin' tick now again. It's awesome watching a FB bear down on a linebacker like a guided missile.

Personally, it was only a matter of time. Running the ball is still the safest(least turnover prone method) and most effective way to move the ball, control the game/clock.

i was pissed when weaver (eagles) got injured he was really gonna' be an impact player...if he stayed healthy and andy put the offense on mccoy shoulders aww man he might of shattered some records
