Is the Floyd vs Cotto fight the most overlooked W in Mayweather's career?

I think it is

Cotto was getting to May in the middle of the fight bleeding from the nose and mouth, but of course Mayweather adjusted and outboxed him.

It seems like nobody talks about this fight when it comes to Mayweather's career, but Cotto put up a much better fight than the other high profile ones with only the first Maidana fight being somewhat close.

Hatton - Put up a decent fight actually
JMM - :russ:
Shane - Outside of that round 2...
Victor Ortiz -
Robert Guerrero - :dahell:
Canelo - :wtf:
Maidana - That first fight was very good
Pacquiao - :comeon:

People were happy to see Floyd bleed, but disgusted that he won the fight. They talked about it for a while (i.e. Cotto made Floyd bleed, etc...), but all of the negative talk died down once reality kicked in. That fight wasn't overlooked, it just wasn't the outcome most casuals wanted.

No. It's brought up all of the time, particularly on this site. Mayweather really doesn't have any underrated wins since he became a pay per view fighter.

Most of his best fights are the ones that most casuals don't know about his Pretty Boy Mayweather days seem to be non-existent to most and that's unfortunate because THAT boy was BAD. To answer your question, Oscar Or Castillo.

I just watched the Gatti, Ndou,Baldimir and Diego fights last night :banderas:

Oscar and Castillo are pretty much the fights he gets the most credit for from what I see, not overlooked at all.

He doesn't get an lot of credit for giving into ALL of Oscar's demands and GOING UP to 154 to fight him. He doesn't get credit for Jose Luis getting in that ass (probably losing) and coming back the next fight to make sure there was no doubt. The fight that gets talked about the most is vs. Chico.

De La Hoya and Hatton had good game plans but Mayweather adjusted midway and did what he always did. Same thing with Cotto....

Crazy too bout that Castillo rematch is they jerked the curtain for a heavyweight fight that night. Man went on to become mr ppv and shatter records you never know who really has next.

One of the FUNNIEST THINGS OF ALL TIME was during the Canelo fight in the 12 round when Floyd would got away at one point and Canelo just stopped fighting in the middle of the ring and pointed his glove at him in DISGUST like "what's up with this nygga right here, man?":laugh::laugh::laugh:
