S.M.B 4 EVER
That PG-13 rating and the leaking online 2 weeks prior before the official released ruined them. All the people that were going to see it prior to the PG-13 announcement felt betrayed and some said they would boycott the movie with PG-13 rating. Too bad the movie flopped when my boy Snipes was getting his chance to shine again. Maybe the Triple R rated cut on BR/DVD will help sell the movie to the home market.

I love the series personally. Just got back from seeing the third one and I was thoroughly entertained.

I'm a fan of pretty much everything Sly has done recently. Escape Plan, Bullet To The Head, The Expendables, etc. all those movies are great to me. If he dropped Expendables 4 I'd definitely be excited to watch it :yeshrug:

That movie was straight :trash:

I was gonna dap you until you said it was great. :camby:

Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven
shyt just reeks of desperation :scusthov: ol' sly getting nostalgic and tryna bring back the glory days with a dated premise. no one fukking cares. the expendable sequels are something nobody asked for and dude's just pumping them out like its in hot demand. I for one am glad part 3 flopped hard. fukk sly :pacspit:

sad about sin city tho :to: I wish it did better at the box office

in fairness....

not bad considering he's the one owning the films too.. he caking right now exploiting the fukk out of 80s shoot em ups... where else do we even find big time shoot em ups like this anymore.. all the action flicks are superhero/superhuman shyts.. sometimes i just wanna watch a nikka kill 200 dudes and have a little hand to hand with the "boss"

I don't know man. watching the :flabbynsick: versions of these 80's action icons is just sad to me. if I wanted some 80's nostlagia, i'd throw on an 80's movie when that shyt really lived. the expendables just seems like a cash grab to me and nothing more. sly has been relying on nostalgia for a minute too, bringing back rocky & rambo. it seems like dude is broke and ran out of ideas or something

i dont see whats so wrong about these movies

me and my cousins/uncles are huge ol school action heads. terminator and beers atleast once a month. we love all these movies. i dont care that theyre old. stallone/staham been killin it in this franchise. snipes came back strong.

who am i to say "hey sly, your too old" dudes in better shape than ALL OF US. dudes 65 in better shape than 20 yr olds. i aint hating., these flicks are good popcorn time.

I personally liked expendables 2 the most because it had Arnie and Bruce Willis shooting dudes, but besides that they never really captured the 80's and 90's action genre IMO because they use terrible cgi blood in the movies and when you get the 3rd one there isnt even any blood they just cut away! I mean come on use some blood squibs. Also another thing the majority of the one liners are just old ones I would have loved to see some more new ones, and in the end they just became a parody of themselves. The expendables movies had a great idea but the execution of it wasn't that great unfortunately, but hey at least you got something instead of wondering what a movie with Arnie and Sly blasting away people together would be like.

Behind You
I don't see how it is forced. It is a gimmick that doesn't take itself too seriously and delivers a product that is missing from today's movies which is ball's out cartoonish graphic violence. At least it did for the first 2...making that 3rd one a PG-13 movie effectively killed any chance it had to be good.
