daughters has charted at 78 on the hip hop charts at least. the don is a HOT record, not a hit record. know the difference.
This. At least, not yet (some singles piggyback on an albums success, but it's not exactly a trend to count on).
However, the HH/R&B charts are more important than either of those in this case, since it's the one that is weighted by spins the most.
I just can't see local R&B stations outside of NY simply picking up a song with a sample that screams "inna di New York City" every 8-10 seconds.
