Game did prove that he could hold his own with this album though.
If I can remember correctly, this album was getting mad burn that Fall/Winter of 2006.
Doctor’s Advocate was helping keep the lights on over the West that year. Everyone came through to Game on that album including Scott Storch.

Great album.
2006 was a really great year. I remember everybody being mad about Snap Rap and the impending rise of nikkas like Soujah Boy but there was some truly great music that dropped that year.

When I heard “That’s That” by Snoop, I was stunned.
My Mom let me and my sister watch “Coming To America” for the first time a couple months after the album dropped.
When Akeem was getting washed, I told her “Hey Ma, that’s the sample from the Snoop song on the radio !!!
She said “Yup”. Snoop is officially a OG now. He sampled a classic

It was a fun year too. Everyone and their mama was bumping some if not all these albums.
2007 was too considering that my Mom just got Cable in our new crib and the first that I decided to watch was “MTV Jams”. I remember trying to snap my fingers singing Cassidy’s My Drink In My 2 Step and my Mom getting mad when she heard me talk about “Patron”.

This was the last time I feel dude was worth listening to.
This is also when his career nosedived and he started his obsession with Dre. I felt bad for dude. Dre got rid of him, but he still used a Dre reference for the title and had all those knockoff Dre beats and endless mentions of him. He couldn't get over the fact that he f*cked up a dope situation. He still hasn't, lol. But this album was dope though. He would've had another classic if Dre and 50 worked on this one too.

And yeah between this and Cardo’s work there’s people still bringing that sub genre to the forefront.
