It’s not really zipper length as much it is the overall character of the rest of the piece. OP is right those IZOD type shyts are awful but these you posted have more character. I can’t even explain it

I work in the fashion industry and generally just call them 1/4 or 1/2 zips just depending on how low the zipper goes. I wouldn't personally be caught dead in an IZOD type of one that looks boring and with no character, but I would 100% wear something that's not plain and has some uniqueness to it. It's a great fall or early spring piece to wear with some jeans or joggers and some sneakers.
