jason street took back his girl who cheated on him with his best friend, got engaged to her even though he was broke with no job in a wheelchair, then slept with a waitress one night stand and begged her to keep the baby, then she left and went to new jersey and he left all his friends and family behind to go to nyc.

landry clarke got lied to, cheated like crap, even committed murder and was willing to go to jail for life over some chick

you can chart the show falling off by how hateable ted becomes. Dude went from a good protagonist to annoying douchebag you put up with just to watch barney/lily/marshall (fukk robin)

the first 4 seasons are really good, 5th was good but some mixed ones, 6th was pretty mixed but the newest season even though they touched on some good stuff in the character arcs but the finale i'm guessing was not really the outcome most people wanted and its the first time i thought.. yup, its fell off.

its like the past two seasons episodes were just filler ideas the've brought back to fill up slots before they go for the mother stuff which they cant hold off that much longer.
