It's a smart move because by becoming a nurse in a field that is considered "recession proof" means you can find a job just about anywhere. Nurses have the potential to make a lot of money, and just any profession that there is a high demand for is good. Now the CNA's, well not so much. but RN's can make some money.

I don't have an issue, I'm just a little disappointed with the lack of creativity. There are plenty of jobs out there that pay decent wages. Why are bw trying to squeeze in the same door.
It's starting to become rap dream status because I only know one RN but I know more than a few CNAs(mixtape pushers), that stay talking about how they're about to make it.

I used to see college/college aged women with that think like a man book all the time when it came out.
medical field and IT field are the fields right now to get into and get paid.
but hoodrats are more in line with nursing homes thats why u see alot of them wearing nurses scrubs.

I think one of the biggest things is that it wouldn't be an issue if so many of them had characteristics that were the antithesis of what nurses are suppose to be.
Let's be 100 a lot of the female nurses we know personally, if we were all honest we would admit they don't have qualities of nurses are suppose to be like(or were originally suppose to be like)
I have also said that a lot of us black folks particularly our parents in each generation can be stupid as fukk and are still ....STILL missing the boat on the engineering field. We still seem to think nursing and law is the answer for everything. I remember watching a newsstation and they gave the answer to the question "WHICH OF the following are the highest paying majors" they asked before the break....and my mother went with "nursing/health" in an arrogant/loud way like most sheep would do....and then like I said...the answer out of the choices turned out to be engineering.....oh gee what a surprise
Matter a fact I know there are different branches of engineering....but I guarantee if you were an engineer, and your girl was a RN who is introducing you to her parents, they may ssume she makes more.
I think a lot of people in the nursing field/med school field now will be in for a surprise. Yeah its high paying. But I think a lot of people are gonna be in for a surprise for all the overestimating they did.
Just going into it because "they heard" it pays a lot....god damn. Like you said its good to be in the field but I wish we would be more diverse.

True. I don't care if they are a doctor/nurse/cna or whatever, most who pick the health care field care nothing about the patients and don't even want to help people. I applaud the very few who actually have that desire to help others because most don't.

Hoodrats don't become nurses breh, they become CNA's. To become a nurse, it's very competitive nowadays and you need good grades in a lot of tough science courses just to get into nursing school. Hoodrats aint doing that shyt.
thats why I had theface when I thought about it.
Basically
Hood rats = Certified Nursing Assistants
Black women = Nurses
Caribbean women = Doctors
and its completed
CNAs don't exist anymore do they?
Certified nursing assistants? Hell yes they do, and they're often kinda on the hoodrat/dusty side from what i've seen.

My wife is a RN and she takes what she does seriously. And it's funny because where she works at the CNA's that do work there are the ones that would be hoodrat, ratchet material. Tattoos and all that. But she does help people even when she's not at work.
