Nas - You Don't Know

2nd verse was disgusting

Spillin' Courvoisi', I'm half slave-master
Half Apache, half African, much is what I call us Black men
Lead astray, drugs and cups of alcohol, cause back when
They let us off ships; the soul of man was lost or trapped in
But every ghetto, every hood, no matter where the town
It's all haunted, all on top slave burial grounds
Dead cooks, workers and maids, under this Earth in rage
Ancient whore houses that explain my sexual ways
Money and murder: interprets the American dream
The world loves a gangsta, I found my place in this thing
Royce's, diamonds and bosses, woman who're gorgeous
Traitors, killers and enemies, remorseless, we live this

we could be here all day discussing Nas most underrated UNRELEASED songs let alone the songs that were released.

I don't think "Life We Chose" EVER gets mentioned as one of his best songs but he dropped BOMBS in that

My GAWD @ life we chose!!! :ohlawd:

"What's love..."

^^^ yeah but Deja Vu might be the most well known unreleased nas song, doesn't really get underrated

A lot of good examples. I'd add project window, never really talked about but in my top 5 nas songs

This man's most underrated piece of work is the one where he says him and Horse saw a UFO in LA.

good call, nice L.E.S. beat crazy lyrics i love that track

i think its just the fact this didnt even get put on an album, like how does a song that good just get left off especially when Nas drops so often. the beat and lyrics are top shelf, could have fit in on God Son or Stillmatic easily

"Life We Chose" is the second track on his Nastradamus album.

Star Wars pretty much describes the state of hip hop from 2001- present and how it's infiltrated American culture. He ethered The roc and Jay Z along the way as well.
