Back on topic, I think we all when reading comics as kids thought, "Wow these would make great movies. But I don't think special effects can do these stories justice." Now that they can they are making them movies and doing a great job at doing so. These are the dominant genre of movie at the moment. It's like great validation of thoughts we had as kids. Like for real, dreams do come true.

its actually kind of ill how much jack kirby's family hated stan lee's guts. stan lee had to call before he went to the funeral to make sure it was cool. then he bounced out early

When Kirby died in 1994, Lee had some mutual friends call Evanier to make sure he was welcome at the memorial service. "Roz wanted to see him," said Evanier, who delivered one of the eulogies. "She wanted to bury ill feelings."

Lee sat in the middle of the pack during the service. Roz was in the receiving line when she saw Lee duck out a side door. "She called to him," Evanier said, "but Stan didn't hear her. I guess he figured he better get out of there. I went after him in the parking lot. It was too late."
