I think it is. I think we've just been conditioned to think all Cola's are supposed to taste like Coca Cola because Pepsi, RC cola and all the other clones pretty much copied their formula. (Coke was the original Soda FYI)
Dr Pepper is a Cola too, but they actually came up with their own formula. at least this is my theory.
