This movie is the very definition of underrated. Great film lost in the shuffle for reasons can’t explained smh. Scorsese doing a thriller and Leo acting nuts. Turned ppl off Bc it was dark and weird but those who gravitate toward that genre loved it. To each their own

Shutter Island gets lost in the shuffle because it came out within a year of Inception, which is basically the same movie

Only difference is Inception was an event movie with a big director name on it
