Is Sheamus the most annoying face in the industry right now?

:what: Barrett was out there to promote the movie. How is that bullying Anyone? He wasn't even being that smug, he was doing his job and minding HIS own bussiness. No matter how you defend and white Knight for the "great white douche" his character still that of a Douche.

And by the way? Do you actually enjoy his segments? Cuz I think you only defend him because most of the board hates him.

So if a nikka beat your head against a urinal and stuffed you into the lockers all year and someone randomly knocked his block off you would be upset about that?

Sheamus is one of those guys that when my lil cousins see him theyre like :gladbron: Sheamus is cool!

and I say to them :gladbron: yep!

but in my mind im like :why: you little wack ass motherfukkers have the lamest fukking sense of taste this generation... at your age my faves were Austin, Hollywood Hogan, Sting and The Rock...

so... i guess Sheamus has a purpose wherein he is popular with the kids :goatshrug::ld:

He's a face that does some heelish stuff from time to time while still trying to be portrayed as a happy-go-lucky friendly superhero. Same booking style used for Hogan and Cena. That said, I think that's kinda boring and two-faced. I'm not bothered that he's a face but I wish they'd let his character (not just his actions) have a bit more edge and that he would talk less.

Plus, booking for him has been horrible for a long time. He and Orton are in a constant holding pattern. It's like they are permanent B-teamers unless Punk, HHH, Cena and Brock ALL get hurt.

To address some other bullshyt I've seen in this thread (not you WB), I find it funny how it's real to you all when it's someone you don't like. "Sheamus never loses," "he's trying to be Cena lite," "he bullies everyone," but then for a guy like Bryan, "OMG he wrestles so good, he turns everything booking throws at him from shyt to sugar," "booking has Daniel Bryan doing all this dumb shyt with Kane," "yeah Team Hell No is lame but that's just because they book him that way so John Cena doesn't feel threatened." Now it's not real anymore, damnit? :dwillhuh:

I miss that guy too but this is the Sheamus that WWE wants and he gets enough of a reaction from the demographic that counts so he's going to stay this way for some time to come. He's extremely over for the level of character sabotage he's endured since "The Great White" of 2011.

I've criticized Sheamus probably more than anyone on the board as of late, but this is probably the worst part of Sheamus' situation in the company, which really has nothing to do with him. He can't really talk, so I don't understand why they keep putting him in lame comedy segments to look terrible again and again.

He's gotten a herculean push since the beginning of Fall 2011, but booking keeps saddling him with BS that prevents him from getting over on the level that he should. 18 seconds. Brutal comedy. Disproportionate retribution on Henry. The long (LONG) and pointless feud with Del Rio (which really didn't help anyone involved). And now this nonsense with Sandow.

I would venture to say that quite a few people on the board, myself included, want to see Sheamus succeed. The guy's a really good worker and has some charisma about him. But he's a guy that got pushed like he was going to be the #2 babyface and incompetence and a lack of key skills prevented that from happening. He's not a guy that you could lean on (even a little bit) if Cena went down for a year, he's just an over Irishman who happens to be an ass-awful babyface at this point. Nothing more, nothing less, and I'm not sure that's going to change anytime soon.
