i feel like that is when it became evident - REALLY evident - that they had no plan at all and that they were just making it up as it went along. i feel like we had been strung along enough and you could just feel all the different plot points coming to a head at the end of season 3. it felt like it was time to finally explain some things.

and then season 4 starts and it's like none of that mattered. before you knew it we were being whisked away into all these new adventures and meeting all these new characters. new turns, new twists, new swerves. like the last 3 seasons worth of questions didn't fukkin matter. everything they had built to... all just an afterthought i suppose.

Easy. The first 4 seasons are some of the best TV I've seen. The OG writers leaving fukked the show up.


That said, season 6 & 8 of Dexter are horrible.
And the last season of True Blood was the worst overall to me.

worst season of a GOOD show was the last season of Boardwalk Empire. absolute shyt after 4 good-great seasons. nothing on The Wire is close to as bad as that was.

idk how anyone can consider Dexter to be good considering more than half of the seasons were outright awful television.
