I think he's always been an okay actor and I've liked him. His comedy styling got played out a bit and had some decent dramatic tries but then Hollywood marketed him as a leading all at once with some bad movies and any aritstic chance he had was done. Deadpool is the type of role that goes back to his Van Wilder late 90s/early 00s days without actually seeing him so he may get a chance at some redeemability indirectly off of it.

He's handsome enough to being a lead, he has the physique to be an action star and he's quick witted, sharp and has great comedic timing. Yet he doesn't do enough comedies, which is really bad.

He has maybe three to four good movies: The Proposal, Waiting and Adventureland.
