Like I said Commissioner is there to protect his league (product); that’s any CEO or Commissioner’s job. The NFL has a billion lawsuit hanging over head from retired NFL players talking about the NFL disregarded concussions when they were playing; the Paul Tagliabue era.

About the Refs, he’ll weren’t we complaining about the real refs before. One example: Calvin Johnson game winning touchdown catch that was overturned because the refs said he didn’t full control of the ball, when in live action and replay, it was clearly a touchdown catch. He’s sending the refs a message and that message is, you are not bigger than this game and you can be replaced. You do not have to be a rocket scientist to officiate a football game.

In regards to the New Orleans Saints, Greg Williams admitted to the commissioner of his actions. A Head Coach is ultimately responsible for his coaching staff and team, that’s why Sean Payton was suspended. Now, the only problem I have is the player’s suspension because no evidence was ever presented indicating that players were placing bounties on players head.

And this is why people don't like him especially compared to Tagliabue. Tagliabue's the substitute teacher that lets people do what they want. Goodell's the disciplinarian principal. Of course people are gonna dislike him. If Roger gives off the vibe that he's bigger than the players, it's because he's the law. And don't get it confused. The ONLY commish that isn't bigger than the players at this point is Bud Selig and that's because the union punks him every time.

Let's act like Goodell didn't fine James Harrison for knocking out Josh Cribbs and Mohamed Massaquoi in the same game..cause they were concerned about player safety... yet Hines Ward and many others pointed out the same photo's were for sale on the NFL site.

Why exactly was Beli only fined, and not suspended like Payton?

on top of that, he took away a first round pick, and them nikkas traded for one like that shyt never happened.

what exactly happened with that Punishment? where was the actual "punishment" ?

Belichick draws $500,000 fine, but avoids suspension - NFL - ESPN

New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick was fined the NFL maximum of $500,000 Thursday and the Patriots were ordered to pay $250,000 for spying on an opponent's defensive signals.

Goodell imposed the biggest fine ever on a coach -- it represents 12 percent of Belichick's scheduled 2007 salary, which is believed to be $4.2 million -- and took away a first-round draft pick as a penalty for the first time in NFL history.

Dude at that time Goodell went in on the Pats. I understand your point dude but if a Defensive Coordinator confesses to trying to take players out, as a leader of a company you have to step in and protect your product.

I remember that Saints/Viking game. It was probably one of the worst officated game. Very late questionable hits on Brett Farve.

fully agreed...i wish i knew this "genius" that people speak on about Stern. He's basically Clinton during the dotcom boom...you could've put any retard in the commish/president spot and they couldn't have fukked up having Bird/Magic/MJ

Then why were NBA games still on tape delay and some Finals games not even being aired during Magic & Bird's first few years before Stern took over? If Larry O'Brien was still commish during the late 80's/early 90's the NBA would've be :flabbynsick: a long time ago. :beli:

Study: Roger Goodell's Strict Discipline Helping to Keep NFL's Crime Rate Down - NFL - NESN.com

It ain't even about that. It's that Goodell's more interested in there being repercussions for shyt compared to Tagliabue.

Article from a couple years ago

Since the 2007 policy, Goodell has suspended 15 players, which is almost double the number Paul Tagliabue suspended in his final years as commissioner.

Even Tags near the end of his tenure was getting tired of a lot of the shyt that Goodell has damn near zero tolerance on. Tags would rather work shyt out internally whereas Goodell wants to make an example out of you.

Yeah but if you were like me atleast you respected your principal and maybe took some life lessons from him on some Joe Clark in Lean On Me shyt...He just comes off as a panderer and nikkas obviously don't give a fukk about his zero tolerance policy unless they wouldnt have gone on a rampage this off season...

They dont hate him because hes a tough disciplinarian, they hate him because he's a power hungry opportunist...

That link you posted was from 2 years ago btw...
