43-1 and his only lost was against Holyfield that he came back and avenged with a a KO. He retired at 28 in his prime on some diva shyt and cane back 7 years later and still took no L's. He could have been a goat level boxer. smh.

He lose points for ducking Lennox Lewis though.

to answer your question - no he's not...but it is a shame

bowe didnt retire on some diva shyt at 28...bowe got ruined over time because his weight kept going up and down which messed up his reflexes and he took too much punishment in his fights

this fight was the straw that broke the camels back

imagine today's heavyweights with these stats in a fight...thats after 9 rounds

that finished riddikk bowe off...he was done

his second comeback ended was because he got into a war with the lowliest of jobbers who he barely escaped with a win while nearly getting ko'ed

Not by a long shot, Bowe was a Great Champion and one of the best Heavyweights of arguably the best era in HW boxing.

Like other posters have said , Ike Ibeabuchi and Edwin Valero instantly come to mind. Joan Guzman, Arguably Fernando Vargas, even the Thurminator in me feels Keith Thurman wasted a lot of his prime. Bowe definitely had some wasted potential but there’s a good amount of guys I’d choose over him.

Zab Judah comes to mind even though he is a borderline Hall of Fame guy.

this may sound harsh but mike tyson, mainly because casual fans and cynical critics either place him as a super elite/great or a muchly overrated knockout artist in an average era! If he focussed more and remained away from his bullshyt lifestyle then maybe we may have witnessed a complete story in his primal era! Rating Mike as a HW great is a pain the ass at times!

I don't think he really left on some diva shyt. I remember from the time dude was pretty fukked up in the head for minute. He has some issues.

I loved watching Bowe. Great memories.
