Luger? Really? Absolutely not

And he's definitely more popular than Hall and Nash, definitely more popular than Kurt Angle as well

Lex was very, very popular in the late 80s, and was HUGE in 1996-1997 at a time when the business was huge. He essentially carried WCW on the face side in its biggest year while Sting was in the rafters, DDP wasn't fully established, and Piper only showed up every few months. Rey was never put into a position to prove if he was a significant draw in WCW or WWE. Lex was proven to be a significant draw in two different hot periods, even if he wasn't at other times. Unless Rey was selling out buildings in Mexico, it's hard to say what he's done in his US career that would put him ahead of a dude who was so big in the biggest era.

As for Hall and Nash...:russ:. Yes, Rey Mysterio is bigger than the NWO. :mjlol:

Never come into TSC but had to pop in here off the strength of my favorite wrestler ever being mentioned.

If popularity amongst Latinos (I'm black, but just saying) factors in as well, dude's definitely top 10.

My 2 cents as a former WCW fiend. :manny:

Yes I'm sure Lex was very popular in his prime, Rey Mysterio is STILL a household name, mention Lex Luger to most nikkas and young kids these days and they think you talking bout the producer

And Hall and Nash were not the nWo, aint no nWo without Hogan, him turning is what made that stable what it was, no shade on The Outsiders either, probably my favorite team ever, I'm just saying individually Rey is popular than both of them

Nah he ain't in the top ten. You got guys like Bruno, Andre, Warrior, Hogan, Flair, Savage, Sting, Rock, Austin, Goldberg, Undertaker, Lesnar, Angle, Bret, RVD, Foley. And then you have Bryan,Punk, Styles that you're gonna have to take into consideration when it's all said and done.

In terms of popularity, he's not in the top ten. Probably top 20 but definitely no lower than that.

Oh weird, a dude who was on WWE TV until 2 years ago is more fresh in the minds of random fans than a dude who hasn't been on TV in 16 years? You don't fukking say. A current fan is also likely to be more familiar with Fandango than Lex Luger.

There's a producer named lex luger? That just goes to show you how popular lex luger actually was... he's also mentioned in multiple rap songs throughout history...

Rey Mysterio is not a household name... You hear try Mysterio and think of the villain from spiderman... only true household wrestling names are flair Hogan savage rock and austin

Nah breh.

Rey mysterio is definitely a bigger star than both of them.

Rey was a legit draw who's merchandise sold great.

Easily the most recognizable Latino wrestler of all time.

He's not top 10, but top 20 may be plausible.

right off the top. he's no where near the top 10. popular = money draw, merch sold, and notoriety. how many casual fans would know who he is? guys like bruno, backlund, and perdo sold out arenas all the time as the top guy. thats popular

Ask anyone today who's not a big wrestling fan who Bruno or Pedro are and like maybe 30% of them know
