I don't know if it is as popular but it certainly isn't as good as it was before Vince took the company public.

I think it fell off when they took steroids out of it. Back in the day the wrestlers were huge and seemed larger than life. These new cats just look like regular dudes.

Obviously, there’s notngonna be another boom period like they had during the Hogan era or the Rock/Stone Cold and NWO late 90s but they’ve been a public traded company for going on 20 years and can do whatever they want in terms of booking and shyt and I haven’t heard one leak of them bleeding money. Their niche fan base are loyal as dogs.

A friend of mine who's jamaican told me back in the late 90s when he first came over here from JA all his people used to be at this one crib. The dude who owned the crib used to clear out his schedule every monday night just to make sure he caught Nitro & Raw. There was no DVR, social media or youtube/hulu back then so if he couldn't see it live he missed it period and would be angry as fukk :mjlol:

Wrestling really was the hottest thing on the planet during that time, completely transcended race, gender, age, etc... everyone watched. It's still a business that prints money but they'll never reach those heights again.
