Nah he's 100% the legendary talker as hyped ... even gave us previews of The Maniac during his WCW run.

They don't have dudes like him now who can just grab the mic and spit and its a problem.

I didn't know the word play was an adjective until Nash said it in a promo

Was just watching some older stuff and was reminded of how terrible he was.

90s Piper was unwatchable. His promos were terrible and hard to sit through. Even 80s piper that everyone loves so much was crazy overrated to me. He was entertaining I guess, but most of that was just being willing to be more racist or extreme (for lack of a better word) in certain situations and promos. It's just kinda cheap n easy to me and nowhere near the brilliance everyone likes to pretend it was.

That's all just promos too. As a wrestler Piper was AWFUL. I've legitimately never seen a good piper match that didn't involve a hall of fame level worker going against him. His style was corny and sooooooooooooo boring. His offence was 100% eye pokes and terrible punches. He legitimately had no moves and used a fukking sleeper as a finisher. He's a Hogan level worker. Probably worse in all honesty

He's also a horrendous piece of shyt. He'd potato non wrestlers, was real negative to any young wrestlers he didnt have a relationship with, and refused to ever put anybody over ever. 99.9% of his matches that he didnt win are countout brawls to the back or DQs.

His 90s wcw run was the worst main event level run I've ever seen. Its not even up for debate.
Ironically he was a legit black belt in judo lol
