Its super niche now. The people that are super into physical always will be.

Myself I have tons of blurays but my place is small and im out of shelf space so I've shifted towards digital the past year.

I do purchase my fav older titles on 4K and give my dad the bluray. I.e. The Karate Kid just came out

On demand physical is the future for a lot of industries.

I always thought comics would end up like that. Just print the copy at the comic store otherwise read it online. Who needs 13 issues of Wolverine 20 sitting in a long box.

It is definitely not great in terms of rights or the resale market. Hard to force businesses to continue practices that aren't profitable though.

Physical media needs innovation to survive when mp3 shsring was at its height artist were still goibg2 diamond because the cds had better sound quality

They also had dvd audio and super audio cd which sounded just has good ad being played off the hardware in the studio because of higher sample rates whete cds were maxxed out at 44000
Yet it never caught one because the players were too expensive

Literally no reason to have physical games you still have to install them and switching disc is annoying

If they make it like some kind of sd card the game comes on where you can just slide it in and play that would be more convenient

We got a bookcase filled with books, dvds and cd's in our house...:mjlol:

I never see the big deal about steelbooks tho...:patrice:
My last spot i had tons of built in book shelves and it was full of my Blurays.

I was gonna get a shelf but my wife got a vanity so nowhere else to put em.

I have 500 flicks on digital and about 400 blurays currently. I get rid of my DVDs once i get the blurays and blurays when i get the 4ks.

I only kept a few dvds with dope packaging. Lotr extended. Unbreakable and pulp Fiction.

Steels aren't as dope lately here as in the past but the ones from korea are fiiire. And also our same region. Iook up novamedia or the hi def ninja bkards
