(disenfranchised youth) I meant lack certain rights, living safely, not living in poverty, living in secured environments. Having access to things to develop them from a good youth to a good man, not having visible things to deter them, having inspiration to help with their aspirations for them and their friends and family.

Growing up in most inner cities these things can be an over dose, and ......... my point pertains to Oprah. How you Queen of the world but only lend support to Women and Lesbian causes. How you Queen of the world but have never raised a family or treat the man with you for 30 years as a pet dog.

It's easy to say i would do this and that, but to me she pretty much has done nothing for black male youths or the inner city struggle and no, its not about her money.

. ask your TV audience to read about John Henrik Clarke, Ernie Barnes
. get Oshea Jackson on your TV Show so the kids can see the transition from rapper to writter/director/entrepeuner
. be with russel at some of those rallys about injustice facing the black male youth
. be more vocal, than invite superhead or rihanna for frivolous chitchat

The woman finished her show, and already like a fiend shes come to start a new show with already 2 episodes. guess ? The black olympic girl and Rihanna

Im done with this thread, the woman is a bytch.

lol...why do you keep knocking her for not getting married and having kids? What kind of caveman shyt is that? If she doesn't want to start a family she doesn't have to.

Oprah is not at fault for the emasculation of 'Black' youth.

The emasculation happened when 'Black' females were made the titular heads of 'Black' households thereby throwing our whole community upside-down and counter to every other civilized community on the planet.

I am not even sure it's a black issue to be honest. Third wave feminism and fatherless homes has been emasculating young men since the mid 80's.

50 cent was on Oprah's show, breh. He even talked about the comments he made about her. I'm all for going at Oprah, but if you guys want go at someone, can you at least know what you're talking about. :why::what:

She chose 50 because she needed a ratings grab(I know y'all say he's irrelevant) but it stemmed off her ratings drop. It was all the controversial statements he made about her. The story line was to confront Fiddy Cent.

As one person on twitter put it, since her network is having problems, she is opened to interview people she would have never interview on her show before.

that's probably true, that would also explain the kardashian interviews

but either way I don't see how Oprah owed 50 cent anything, 50 cent does not represent some kind of ideal black man, It's not a insult to black people if she doesn't want him on her show

Because in general terms Negro families have the largest number of children and the lowest incomes, many Negro fathers literally cannot support their families. Because the father is either not present, is unemployed, or makes such a low wage, the Negro woman goes to work. Fifty-six percent of Negro women, age 25 to 64, are in the work force, against 42 percent of white women. This dependence on the mother's income undermines the position of the father and deprives the children of the kind of attention, particularly in school maters, which is now a standard feature of middle-class upbringing.

This woman is the worst example of a mature black woman, there has been countless mocking of the black male(hiphop in general) on her show. Reason i made this post is she claims to have stopped her TV show but now she started another one back in the limelight, she fiends for attention.

+

I remember one of the only times she has had bold black males on her show she had russel simmons, common, and few others and she was mocking them and even had the basketball girls 'nappy headed hoes' ....... insulting the hiphop moguls. Now she can have Superhead on her show who made her name of rappers but she cant have Ice Cube on her show but she can have the people from the black/white television show he made. She fights only for women and lesbian rights nothing when it comes to raising awareness in the inner city youths and also showed no help with that stupid crack law when possesion can get you a life sentence even russel was campaigning for a change in that.

She built a private girls school only in the richest part of africa (south africa) with media coverage.

I read years ago she wears one pair of shoes and throws them away and same with clothes. Steadman been her toy dog for 30 years, how can you pass judgement like Mother Earth when you have not been married or have had kids. She publicly bashed a young 18 year old Chris Brown on her tv show, saying 'once a beater always a beater'

How mature is that ? From getting thrown out of a french boutique that did not allow blacks so she flew the manager in to her show the next day to show the world she is powerful then making a girls only private school in south africa for media coverage.

Im glad she is done, she did nothing for hiphop or black youths ......... but she can spend 50 000 dollars for portraits of her cocker spaniels.

you with me ?

Her platform she can get hollywood actors and etc even superhead on her show and she brings a lot of attention to issues and her little book club ?

She is a condesending hypocrite, she can do more for black youth ......... being she never had children and refused to marry a black male rather keep him as a pet for 30 years. She is an awful human being.

I dont care about her money its her attitude and the things she ignores she can tell magazines she wears clothes once and throws them away and she can tell them she will never trust anyone and all types of extra negative shyt but her life does not match this 'holier than thou' personna. Recently after her dying days on her show and finding out to her disbelief she is not loved by black males and some black women, she had Jay on her show and after years of bashing and ignoring hiphop music she said she now listens to Jay's music one of the most woman-bashing negative rappers ever.

. She has done nothing for black MALE youth, even Eminem has done more.

. With all her girls private schools handing out fridge freezers donating this and that to womens courses.

. She has not lent a supporting hand to build community centers, helping some of these rigid laws that are locking too many in non-violent crimes.

. to top it off, she back peddles on hiphop after years of bashing.

. everyone ignores she has no kids and has never married her pet steadman but she can pass judgement ?

. To me she is holding up years of bitternes from her failed actress, support Tyler Perry but ignore O'Shea Jackson.

. Support femine books ignore john henrik clarke, ......... the bytch is a zombie and only caters to you know who.

me i am fine you seem greatly affected by this independent woman.

50 Cent on Oprah not letting him come on her show:

“She’ll have Kanye West on her show. I think middle America would rather have they kids be gay, than have them aggressive.”

That was before she let him on her show, obviously.

Rather than complain about Oprah how about you take the time to become a millionaire/billionaire yourself and fight for the rights of black men? Why is she obligated to do anything? She's done enough as it is.

Why do some of us black people feel that other rich black people are obligated to "give back" to us, lest they be deemed sellouts?

And I can understand why Oprah doesn't have the greatest relationship with men. She has a history of rape and molestation--women with histories like that tend to have LOTS of issues trusting men, letting men in, and showing men proper appreciation.

Plus, she's a woman. Women tend to care more about women just as men tend to care more about men. Just as Afro-Americans tend to care more about Afro-Americans and Japanese tend to care more about Japanese. People tend to care more about social groups they belong to and identify with.

im not gonna defend oprah like that, yall can rag on her as long as you dont turn around and try to portray somebody like 50 cent as a shining example of black manhood

do yall think oprah's money is different than the money going through the entire rap industry, are rappers any less beholden to white money than oprah? the whole entire rap industry is basically black males entertaining white people by degrading themselves and black culture. i dont see how anyone from hip hop can throw stones at oprah

see, there we go again; show me where i judged her for her money, or what she does with it....

i judge this person (and even moreso the media for putting her up there) for:

1. symbol of a fat, outta shape black woman with fake hair, and no discipline regarding health lifestyle
2. symbol of a skin-color insecure, educated, cultured, well traveled, well read got damn ignant buffoon
3. symbol that only a black person that criticizes black failures, can be taken as seriously by those she's trying to impress

my rule is this:
what color is your audience?
what color are the folks you break ya neck to cater to\entertain?

that's what color should be on your show\magazine\books when it's time to hand out criticism, and judge people to the point where you use money\power to help block them from getting a true second chance

black people out there looing for a leader, white people out there looking for that next piece of legislation......
