like people have already said, it's worth it for the convenience and when you have company.

plus, sometimes you stumble across some shyt that you would've never thought to watch..

the content itself is readily available to download, even the netflix originals. only thing you might have trouble with is foreign flicks + subtitles

Yes. Sometimes I'd just rather have something I can browse and then play on demand. It's just a slightly different way of experience but when you want to be entertained and have a better view of your options it's good. Especially if you have a girl. You really think she's just gonna want to always pick the shyt you download? Nah let them browse and look at shyt and pick. For some reason that shyt works wonders.

speaking of download, I only download tv shows. my boy set up a plex server, so I installed that app on PS3, PS4, roku and on my smart tv's. so I don't even bother downloading movies anymore. I just watch the ones on his media server.

the download life requires a lot of planning. and heaven forbid you forget to download your content. you're gonna be sitting there lookin real thirsty.

I don't have Netflix Hulu or any of that stuff...I'm thinking about becoming a member but don't know it works

I have cable with HBO (on a promo for 12 months), netflix and amazon prime.

the amazon prime was included with my wife's school tuition, so that's how we got that, and she's been a netflix subscriber since forever. but netflix is incredibly cheap given the amount of content available.

the fact that netflix has 4K content and comcast can't even get me 1080p is just further indictment on the cable industry.

I think amazon is trying to attempt what you speak of. Though chiraq was available for purchase and online before they put it free for prime members
