I was playing assassins creed brotherhood day before yesterday and out of the blue my ps3 shuts off and the red light flashed 3 times. I tried to turn it back on and as soon as it got to the home screen the same thing happened again. I let it cool off for about a half hour and turned it back on and backed everything up and it seems to be working fine now....did it just overheat? It aint the money I can buy another one no problem but I hate the look of these slims man the phat is so classy looking I don't wanna let it go

Dont listen to these other guys.

Get a vacuum cleaner and get all the extra dust from all the vents. If you dont have one, cop a ps3 air cooler, theyre cheap.

Had my phat since launch and it works fine, my slim was freezing and acting up until i got all that dust from up outa there.

Haven't had one problem since I copped a slim. It's ugly as hell but it never overheats

Got the 60GB joint fixed after it died, but retired it as soon as I backed everything up. Wasn't tryna take any chances

yup, I have my old school NES since 92 and it is still clicking with no problems. PS2 fell, banged up, still working. PS3 bluray lens failed, bought a slim, failed...modern generation fail
