Is Monster Hunter combat better than Souls combat?

It’s already been established in here that the hit boxes are extremely lose, also most attacks are lunging/and or homing, so no positioning is not very important.

Most hits don’t cause a reaction, so fights play out with you spamming your weapon moves, and the monster spamming theirs.

Most weapons don’t even have a guard.

Again, if the combat was skill based we’d have level 1/starting equipment no damage runs.

We don’t cause you can’t.


First off, this whole statement is very wrong but I don't have the desire to keep telling you how wrong you are. And secondly who cares what you think is skill based

oh guys since meach says you cant beat the game with starting weapons it takes no skill. god you sound so silly. Pong is a skill based and an infinitely more complex game somehow isnt, you sound so fukking goofy :heh:

The game is all about the loot…upgrade loop.

The combat is built around that.

Gameplay is built around the upgrade loop, the combat is design by which is you use. In souls games the general loop is dodge attacks and pick your spot. Not wonder why yout weapon is the loops is the same
