Also not just on a pedestal because of his comedy, but because he's doing the comedy business different.

Louis C.K. - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

And now for his standups, he's selling tickets directly from his website so fans don't have to pay the ridiculous service prices on Ticket Master.

 He's definitely changing the game. He's all about his fans which is nice. New material and a cheap price ($45 every city, every show). You can't beat that.

Im a huge fan of his but kinda hated Season 1. It was very dry and self-indulgent, almost preachy even. The character he plays is unsettlingly bizarre. Its like Curb Your Enthusiasm without the humour. Weird. Ill give the other seasons a chance eventually.

Hes still a Top 5 comic tho

I like his standup. Don't like the show. I started watching it first episode because I liked him, but it became a task to sit through some episodes. I made it about halfway through last season before I through in the towel. That episode where he took his daughters to meet his grandma :what:

shyt ain't good enough to be a drama and I'll be damned if I watch a comedy where some episodes don't even attempt to make you laugh.

couldnt have said it better myself

it had a spark when it started...

watch season 1 at least, the rest you can ignore

the only funny part of the season 3 premiere was the shyt about the parking signs

you gotta like dry humor to enjoy it, since its not the punchline/gag/extremely funny situational humor most comedies are based on...

Like people are saying, it's not a laugh out loud comedy for the most part (but that part in the Pilot where that chick ran to the helicopter at random was me rollin)

It's situation comedy done very well

Its dry, dark, and cynical... Its not meant to provide Knee slappers all of the time... If that s all you watch it for then you'll be disappointed. Sometimes the show is a real downer, kind of depressing how miserable and contempt Louie is with his misery.... but its relevant...

I was :laff: at that part. I knew from that point this was gonna be a show that I was gonna like.

I feel you on this, I'm a fan of his stand up but I couldn't really get into his show I tried for like 5 episodes then I realized it wasn't really a show for me.
