I like Louis CK, funny guy, seems like a nice person, agree with his politics. But is he as great as they say. he is basically on a pedestal that i never seen before. Maybe only Jon Stewart is as praised. I like Louis as a person way more than Jon Stewart who i find snide and condescending.

Anyway, is his show that dope?

It's not for everyone. If you like his stand up, and understand his type of humor, then you might like it.

I think it's one of those shows that doesn't appeal to the masses, you either love it it hate it. I love it:yeshrug:

The show is ok, its funny but its not that knee slapping, random I can't breathe funny. Its a more subtle dark humor self deprevating kinda humor. Either way You might not really laugh through an episode or even laugh at all but it will still be entertaining enough for you to watch the whole episode.

I love the show but like guy above said, if you are looking for just comedy it's not for you. It's a pretty dark/cynical toned show

Also not just on a pedestal because of his comedy, but because he's doing the comedy business different.

Louis C.K. - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

On December 10, 2011, Louis C.K. released his fourth full-length special, Live at the Beacon Theater. Like Hilarious, it was produced independently and directed by C.K., but unlike his earlier work, it was distributed digitally on the comedian's website, foregoing both physical and broadcast media. C.K. released the special DRM-free for $5.00 USD, hoping these factors and the direct relationship between the artist and consumer would effectively deter piracy. The end of the film also mentions the release of a new album, recorded at Carnegie Hall the previous year. As of December 21, 2011, the sales of the special from C.K.'s website has earned him over US$1,000,000. The success of the special prompted other comedians, including Jim Gaffigan and Aziz Ansari, to release their own specials with a similar business model. On May 11, 2012, C.K. additionally made two audio-only downloads available for $5.00 USD each (WORD – Live at Carnegie Hall, and the audio version of his first HBO stand-up special, Shameless), as well as an audio-only version of Live at the Beacon Theater.

And now for his standups, he's selling tickets directly from his website so fans don't have to pay the ridiculous service prices on Ticket Master.

I like his show. The pacing is perfect for his style of comedy. It starts slow and builds up until you start to cry from laughing.

I've watched a few episodes, and it has it's funny moments, but I don't know If I like the whole overall vibe of the show. To me, the funniest parts are the stand-up scenes.

I think Louis C.K. is hilarious, but the show is just okay to me.

If you don't have a dry sense of humor (or can't at least appreciate it), you probably won't like this show.

The best thing about it is that it takes normal sitcom situations and plays them like they're dead serious.

Didn't really care much for this season's premiere. I do love the show in general but was just underwhelmed this time out. Still shyts on most other shows regardless.

He shouldn't have had any problem breaking up w/ that ugly ass broad anyway. Ex wife looked fine as hell. How he went from her to that Bert-looking broad is ridiculous.

I like his standup. Don't like the show. I started watching it first episode because I liked him, but it became a task to sit through some episodes. I made it about halfway through last season before I threw in the towel. That episode where he took his daughters to meet his grandma :what:

shyt ain't good enough to be a drama and I'll be damned if I watch a comedy where some episodes don't even attempt to make you laugh.

I think that show is average at best, but then again I don't really find him to be that funny in the first place.

he makes this entire show himself, writes it, and edits it on his laptop :russ:

Louis CK is the hardest working man in comedy
