I wasn't clear .....impact meaning it just wasn't quality music alone it impacted the culture as a whole....grindin the beat had many freestyles done by rappers, lunch tables daily....the album also was fairly successful too. I believe they either went gold or platinum.
So if I can pull up videos of people freestyling to one song on an album, the album is “classic”?

HHNF was mad critically acclaimed when it dropped.

A lot people questioning its impact, were probably 4 years old or some sh*t when it came out.

But it was playing everywhere back then. Every publication was crazy about it, not just the Hip Hop ones. This was peak Neptunes era. And it was actually reviewed way better than LW. XXL gave it a damn XXL (which is 5/5 for the slow people in the back). Almost 20 years later and the album is still talked about as one of the best of its era. That's what a classic is.

I remember HHNF quite well. It was one of my most anticipated albums. It was supposed to drop 2004, but it got pushed back due to label issues. For me, HHNF was a step down from Lord Willin'. I kind of felt underwhelmed by it overall. Lord Willin' was definitely peak Neptunes. HHNF was The Neptunes near the end of that peak.

HHNF is more of a fan favorite, cult classic than tried and true classic.
