How about this for a theory?
How about something as simple as she's a high-level athlete in her mid-30's with mild celebrity status and it's already hard enough to really "date" in that position. People get flaked on and ghosted here in L.A. like it's going out of style.
It's got to be even more so for her if she's looking for a man that's also athletic, willing be celibate until marriage, and (most of all) can SOMEHOW prevent her from being paranoid about his faithfulness.

Oh ok.
Well I guess issues with being emotionally intimate and letting people/men in. She could also be really picky too.
I think she said in an interview that her dad was trife towards her mom...never married her after 20 years then left her for another woman, so that could have something to do with it. (Not sure if this has already been said.)
Maybe she'll meet the right man when she's in her 50s.
