How about something as simple as she's a high-level athlete in her mid-30's with mild celebrity status and it's already hard enough to really "date" in that position. People get flaked on and ghosted here in L.A. like it's going out of style.
It's got to be even more so for her if she's looking for a man that's also athletic, willing be celibate until marriage, and (most of all) can SOMEHOW prevent her from being paranoid about his faithfulness.

may just end up as dead ends due to busyness, pressure, and insecurity from both sides. Being in a relationship with Lolo Jones means there's no friendship to build from if you're just meeting. You start off with "Damn. If I'm not going to marry this chick, I'm wasting my time and loyalty", so I've got to decide whether I should bother in the first month or so." You're put on the spot immediately.
A guy that she'd want would likely have options and no one likes their future being dictated by someone else so quickly and the guilt of wasting her time (along with the publicity) probably isn't worth it.
