Is Komplete 10 Ultimate overkill for making rap/pop/r&b beats?

I do not recommend it. Get rickenbaucher bass and epic horns for kontakt. The rest of instruments are done better with other VsTs like sylenth1, serum, or massive. im heavily sample based tho, and my trap needs are met using other synths. They are high quality but cpu demanding etc

Recommend something else then breh

Keep in mind i can get Ultimate for $375 so im really not trying to spend hella money buying separate expensive vsts

I already have Omnisphere so im really not too worried about the synths in Komplete

Im mainly getting it for the strings,horns,kontakt,reaktor,guitar rig,fxs

Everbody says the pianos aren't up to par but I really like what i heard from The Giant and Alicia Keys

Could you recommend something else that isn't super expensive?

And yeah that Rickenbaucher sounds NICE too....one of the main reasons I couldn't pull tye trigger yesterday on the regular Komplete 10

Also Massive is a part of Komplete(I already have Massive anyway)

for Pianos, I have never heard a complaint when I have used "the gentleman"
or some of the other pianos.

Also FM8, Monark and Absynth...are all industry standard synths.

Reaktor has tons of dope shyt in it. I'm curious to see the new synths in K10 like Rounds and Contour.


if you don't have complete already, and you can cop it for under $200 then jump all over that.

So much potential and so many instruents/synths/sounds and fx to mess with.


I might just upgrade to 10

Pulled the trigger on Komplete 10 Ultimate

I know i don't really need everything in it but I wouldve probably copped Alicia Keys and the Rickenbaucher eventually had i got the regular Komplete so i said fukk it got the Ultimate

They wouldn't let me use the e-voucher with it though

Im not mad though,$399 for Ultimate was a good deal

If i did a review it wouldn't be any time soon

Next couple of months will be spent learning everything

I got the crossgrade for Komplete 8 Ultimate. It's overkill but if you plan on using something specific in there, might as well get the whole package.

Update: I ended up selling Komplete 10 Ultimate and my Komplete Kontrol s49 keyboard on ebay

Ultimate was definitely overkill and i never used 90% of the shyt that came with it

Also having so many options kinda stunted my abilities

I found myself searching for sounds more than than actually making the beat

The keyboard was ok but kinda gimmicky

I found myself using my akai advanced keyboard way more when working outside the maschine and when working in the maschine software the maschine studio can basically do everything the keyboard can

Both good products but not really needed for my workflow
